Friendly, patient care for kids of all ages — designed to make their first dental visits the start of a lifetime of healthy habits.

We love seeing young patients. Dr. Soto and her team are experienced in making children feel comfortable and at ease during dental visits. We believe early, positive dental experiences set kids up for a lifetime of good oral health.
We recommend bringing children in for their first dental visit by age 1, or when their first tooth appears. The first few visits focus on familiarity — meeting the chair, counting teeth, getting comfortable. By the time real cleanings start, they're old friends with the office.
For the parent: we explain what we see and why, in English or Spanish, without lecturing. We're here to support good habits, not shame past ones. The bedtime juice cup conversation can wait until the kid is back in the lobby.
For very young kids, the first visit is a tour. Sit in the big chair, meet the tools, get a toothbrush. No work — just a positive introduction.
When they're ready (usually age 2–3), we start gentle cleanings. We narrate everything — "now the bumpy brush, now the water vacuum" — so nothing is a surprise.
Sealants on molars and a quick fluoride treatment dramatically reduce cavities. Both are painless and take just a few minutes.
Dr. Soto talks to your child about brushing and what foods are friends and foes — and gives you (the parent) realistic strategies for home, in either language.
By age 1, or within 6 months of the first tooth appearing — whichever comes first. Early visits are about familiarity and prevention, not big procedures.
We move slowly. We narrate every step in kid-friendly language. We never restrain, never rush, and we celebrate small wins (opening wide, sitting still). For very anxious kids, we may spread treatment over multiple short visits.
We accept many insurance plans — please call to confirm your specific plan. We also have transparent self-pay pricing for cleanings and basic preventive care.
Baby teeth need treatment too — they hold space for adult teeth and untreated decay can become painful or infected. We use small, color-matched fillings and tooth-friendly numbing techniques.
We do a basic orthodontic check by age 7. Most kids don't need braces until 10–14, but early evaluation catches issues that benefit from early intervention.
Every consultation is with Dr. Imelda Soto, DDS — board-certified, with 25+ years of experience and native bilingual care.
